The Democratic Party for Change (DPC) welcomes the joint statement issued by
\ninternational partners on April 7, 2025, regarding the proposed national dialogue
\nannounced by His Excellency President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud in his Eid-al-Fitr
\naddress on March 29, 2025.<\/h5>\n
The Party recognizes the urgent need for an inclusive dialogue that brings together all
\npolitical and Somali community stakeholders to address key national priorities,
\nincluding the constitution, elections, and the fight against terrorist groups. This
\nproposed platform presents a critical opportunity for Somali political stakeholders and
\ncivil society to unite their efforts and voices in tackling the nation’s most pressing
\nchallenges, while advancing Somalia’s journey toward a democratic and federal
\nsystem of governance.<\/h5>\n
Our party emphasizes the vital importance of a unified and inclusive approach to
\nconfronting the persistent threat of Al-Shabaab. The ongoing Al-Shabaab offensive
\nrequires an immediate and coordinated national response. We honor the sacrifices
\nmade by the Somali Security Forces, along with Macawisley and the African Union
\nSupport and Stabilization Mission (AUSSOM), as they courageously combat Al-
\nShabaab.<\/h5>\n
We express our heartfelt gratitude to our international partners for their unwavering
\nsupport and commitment to Somalia’s state-building, peace, and stability.<\/h5>\n
The Democratic Party for Change (DPC) reaffirms its commitment to the principles of
\ndemocracy, justice, and human rights. We reiterate our strong support for an inclusive
\ndialogue and stand ready to collaborate with all parties to ensure the realization of the
