About the Democratic Party for Change
The Democratic Party for Change (DPC) was established in Baidoa in 2020 by a coalition of politicians, intellectuals, youth, and women committed to transforming Somalia’s political scene. Initially registered by the National Independent Electoral Commission on August 17, 2020, the DPC was officially registered by the National Independent Elecotoral Commission and Boundries in March 2025.

Officially registered with the National Independent Electoral Commission, the DPC is dedicated to addressing key issues such as insecurity, inequality, and economic empowerment, while upholding human rights.
