Milestones of Progress

The Democratic Party for Change (DPC) has charted a remarkable journey since its inception, marked by significant milestones.

2020

Foundation of DPC

In 2020, the Democratic Party for Change was founded in Baidoa by a diverse group of politicians, intellectuals, youth, and women, aiming to address Somalia’s pressing challenges through a fair and inclusive democratic process.

2021

Registration with NIEC

The DPC was officially registered on August 17, 2021, by the National Independent Electoral Commission (NIEC), becoming a recognized political entity in Somalia.

2023

Expansion and Growth

DPC expanded its presence across Somalia, establishing regional offices and engaging with communities to promote its vision and objectives.

2025

Official Launch

Registered with the National Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission. The official launch of the DPC is scheduled for early May 2025 in Mogadishu, where the party will unveil its comprehensive plan to lead Somalia towards a future of peace, prosperity, and democratic governance.
